Ryan Zaman is originally from Manchester. He was born with Cerebral Palsy - this affects the way the brain communicates with muscles. Ryan is using his platform as a model to further highlight the importance of representing disabled people in a realistic way in popular culture. Ryan also wants to focus his work on men’s mental health, by sharing with others what he has overcome and what he still needs to improve on; as well as to encourage open conversation. Ryan is also progressing his work on disability advocacy to raise awareness of the life experiences of disabled people.
Ryan launched alloyworldwide.com - a platform to share valuable resources on disability that speak about disability in the right way. Alongside this, he continues with The Right Foot Forward Podcast, shedding light on shared experiences through informative conversations with his guests. Alongside modelling, Ryan works for a queer non-profit which has a focus on corporate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as well as giving back to the queer community. Ryan regularly hosts panel talks discussing the importance of brands and designers alike working with an inclusive range of talent and creatives. He is a trailblazer within the industry from education to visibility, showcasing the importance of open discussion and continued development in terms of inclusion and equity.
