Melvo Baptiste is a DJ and selector by blood, with a musical upbringing of soul, rare groove, funk and disco. Melvo has cultivated his passion and knowledge for groove, soul and disco as well as classic house, contemporary soulful house and nu-disco to the top of the iTunes Podcast charts on a regular basis with his Glitterbox radio show. His most recent exploit with Glitterbox found him compiling the Glitterbox: Pump the Boogie! album, which hit the top spot on the iTunes Dance Chart within a week of its release.

Baptiste, whose uncle is the legendary UK DJ Norman Jay MBE, has been the voice of Defected's Glitterbox Radio since 2017 as well as hosting his own weekly show since 2012 on Gordon Mac’s Mi-Soul station. Between working in the A&R department for Defected and balancing high profile sets at international festivals such as Suncébeat, Defected Croatia and Lovebox. Melvo launched his own label, The Remedy Project, in partnership with Defected in March 2021 with the intention of helping artists further their careers in music, by offering a platform to promote the incredibly diverse and rich abundance of music out there, that inspires him.
