On Sunday 19th May 2024, Koko Barno returned to the Fédération de Kick-Boxing (FKBDA) National 2024 Final to take home the title of Champion for the third time; a historical moment that saw her become the first black trans woman to ever do so.
As a model and content creator with over 14K Instagram followers, Koko uses the social media platform as both a creative and political outlet. She takes on multiple roles as being the stylist, photographer, director and set designer when creating her own content.
As a model, Koko has shot campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Jean Paul Gaultier and YSL Beauty. Koko has featured in editorial for Vogue and Dazed Magazine with fashion photographer Tim Walker. As an influencer, she is a regular fixture at fashion weeks and brand events in London and Paris, having recently taken part in activations with Diesel and Michael Kors.
As an advocate for the Trans community, Koko has been interviewed and profiled in press articles for ES Magazine, Harper's Bazaar and Pink News. She is the current face and voice of UGG's "Feel Seen, Feel Heard" Pride campaign.
Koko is also a member of the European Ballroom House of Gorgeous Gucci where she performs and walks in several categories including Face and Vogue. Her personal interests include travel, fashion, beauty, and fitness.
