Paolo Busti is a dancer from Southern Italy who began his training at the age of 12. He pursued his professional education at the Teatro San Carlo school in Naples before joining the prestigious Scuola di Ballo Teatro alla Scala in Milan, where he graduated in 2012.
While in Milan, Paolo performed in various productions with the Teatro alla Scala company. In 2013, he joined the ballet company of the Opéra de Nice in France. The following year, he danced with the Schwerin State Theater in Germany before relocating to Berlin, where he became part of the renowned Friedrichstadt-Palast. There, he collaborated with acclaimed choreographers such as Ohad Naharin and Leo Mujic, and worked with iconic fashion designers including Thierry Mugler and Jean-Paul Gaultier.
In 2022, Paolo spent six months in Australia under the artistic direction of Francesco Ventriglia before returning to Europe, where he continues to work as a freelance dancer across a range of international productions.
He recently performed in Aeon, a piece choreographed by Luca-Andrea Tessarini and presented at the Origen Festival in Switzerland. The work explores the elemental power of nature over time and features dancers from the prestigious Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT). He also appeared with the Opéra de Rouen in Normandy, performing in Aida and other productions choreographed by Kristian Lever.
Paolo is currently working on a Netflix TV show, set to premiere in December 2025.
